CORAL

CORAL is the fourth painting in the Mother Earth series. The female figure represents the spirit of the Earth. She speaks to us through the symbolism of the natural world. Sunflowers are a symbol of loyalty and longevity. The snake is a symbol of fertility and Nature's ability to defend herself. In her right hand she holds a healthy apple, which symbolizes truth and knowledge. In her left hand she holds a decaying apple which symbolizes truth and knowledge rotting away. The crows are a symbol of the balance between life and death. The condition of coral reefs indicates the health of the environment and the sun setting reminds us of beauty, necessity, and time.
